Products MUST arrive by OCTOBER 20TH 2023 in order to be judged

Please read the “Shipping Information” below carefully to ensure that your products arrive on time.

All samples will be properly stored and prepped for the trade buyer judges at Haram-Christensen Corp

There is only one entry fee. Winners receive both Physical and Digital Medal images to be used at no additional charge in marketing materials. Winners have the option of purchasing stickers as well as licensing fees for packaging and bottle purposes.

Payment for online entries can be made by credit card through Stripe or mailing of check or including it in the shipment and envelope clearly marked. Off-line entry fees can be made by credit card, check, or by wire transfer.  The banking information and associated fees for the wire transfer may be requested from us at info@usichocolatecompetition.com

Eligibility and Requirements 

  • All commercially-produced chocolate and dairy products from anywhere in the world is eligible to enter. You do not have to be sold in the United States or New York.

  • All entries must be entered online or listed on the official entry form, ei downloaded from this website as a paper form (both coming soon). If downloading the paper form, please complete the entire form and sign at the bottom of the page to certify that the statements on the form are correct. Failure to complete the form properly may result in disqualification.

  • All entries entered on time will be judged. If your entry gets stuck in customs, as does occasionally happen, we are prepared to convene a smaller tasting panel for those entries. To avoid this, however, please read the “Shipping Information” below carefully to ensure that your products arrive on time.

  • In addition to your entry form, please email the following information to info@nyichocolatecompetition.com:

    • Link to each brand’s website

    • JPG file of your brand artwork (Package Shot and/or Hi-Res Logo)

    • Staff Relations Contact (Name, Phone, Email)

    • Up to Date Brand Information (i.e. available in what markets domestically and internationally, info on maker, information unique to your brand)

  • Each entry must include a minimum of 1 pound total weight per entry.  This may be two 8oz commercial packages or a 1lb bar or not in its commercial packaging.

  • Please contact us if you have any special requests or if you need to ship/enter before the opening for entries.

  • Include the completed entry form in all shipments to ensure product is entered in the correct category

  • Again, entries must ship a minimum of 1lb. per product entered for judging. See above “Eligibility and Requirements” for details.

  • Shipments will be accepted Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Entries shipped to an address other than the one above will be disqualified and entry fees will not be returned.

  • If you are shipping internationally, please contact us in advance so that we can help you coordinate a broker if necessary.

  • The competition, its service contractors, and any officer, staff member, sponsor or director of the same shall not be responsible for the safety of the chocolates from theft or damage by fire, accident, vandalism or other causes. The competitor expressly waives and releases any claim or demand that he or she may have against any of them by reason of any damage to, or loss of, any product entered in the competition.
